Walter Schwyzer
Founder & Director
Walter speaks at different flight safety venues around the world with interesting topics regarding training, human factors and safety culture.
Currently he flies for a major Asian carrier on the A330 Fleet and before that he spent 12 years in the Middle East with Gulf Air after a brief experience with British Midland after leaving his first airline job with Swiss/Crossair in 2004. In 2010 Walter became a Captain and in 2014 a flight instructor. He is rated on A320/330/340 and E145.

In the Swiss Military, Walter went through the Non-commissioned Officer’s school to serve in a Support and Command Unit of the Luftwaffe in the Swiss militia system. Walter graduated in Mechanical Technology in Brazil at UTFPR and in Air Safety Management with City University London. He grew up bilingual with German and Portuguese with French and English later supporting his international enterprises.

Walter is a long-standing member of the Flight Safety Foundation, the ISASI (International Society of Air Safety Investigators) and the Royal Aeronautical Society. He is also an Associate Member of the EAAP (European Association for Aviation Psychology).
On his free time, he enjoys literature that ranges from Jungian psychology to military history, playing a bad tenor saxophone and fixing old American classic cars while renovating his Chalet in the Swiss Alps, where he lives with his family and their two basset-hounds.

Leonardo Herman
Founder &
Non-Executive Advisor
Hailing from São Paulo, Brazil, and based in the Middle East for the last 21 years, Leonardo is a well seasoned pilot in Airbus Fly-by-Wire aircraft.
He has extensively flown the A320, A330 and A340 series and flies the A380 for the last 10 years. He has always been involved with pilot training and development since obtaining his CFI rating back in 2000.
With interests in improving an organization’s performance by optimized human interaction at all levels, along with devising new, innovative processes and perspectives, Leonardo has attained an MBA (Merit) from Coventry University on Air Transport Management and a Certificate of Specialization in Strategy by the Harvard Business School.
Leonardo is a member of the ISASI (International Society of Air Safety Investigators) and also a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
Away from the professional realm, Leonardo has a deep connection with music and greatly enjoys his grand piano at home (and tries his best to have his young son Philippos following suit), on top of being a full-time “foodie”, always making sure everyone around him will be properly fed.
